Who We Are
Canadians For Palestine is a change hub dedicated to mobilizing individuals and communities in supporting the Palestinian struggle for recognition and sovereignty. Through this work, we are establishing the largest advocacy organization of its kind in Canada. We are dedicated to raising awareness and promoting the rights of the beseiged Palestinian peoples of Gaza, and all occupied Palestinian territories.
At C4P, we believe in the power of unity and solidarity. Our mission is to educate, inform, and mobilize individuals and communities to support the Palestinian struggle for recognition and sovereignty. Through peaceful advocacy, we aim to amplify the voices of Palestinians by standing for justice, equity, and human rights that do not stop at borders, do not end for certain nationalities, nor are reserved for certain religions, ethnicities, or bodies.

Crisis in Gaza Now
Gaza Healthcare System Collapse
On January 24th, 2024, WHO reported that only 7 out of 24 hospitals remain open in Northern Gaza, and 7 out of 12 remain open in Southern Gaza. These hospitals lack essential resources like fuel, clean water, and food for staff, and suffer from a shortage of specialized medical personnel. Healthcare workers are being detained, patients and staff are prohibited from entering hospitals, and Israeli military actions hinder communication between hospitals. The situation is dire, with healthcare staff resorting to digging graves on hospital grounds due to the anticipated high death toll and the need to manage the deceased.
Enforced Starvation in Gaza
According to UN's leading expert on the right to food, Israel is committing war crimes and genocide as it intentionally starves Palestinians.Widespread hunger and malnutrition are being forced upon 2.2 million people in Gaza due to Israeli destruction of food supplies and severe restrictions on humanitarian aid. Aid convoys and civilians seeking relief have been consistently targeted by Israeli fire. UN Special Rapporteur Michael Fakhri asserts that denying food access is the only motive behind such actions.
Ethnic Cleansing of Gaza
Over 85% of the Gazan population has been displaced due to continous Israeli bombardement. This has created overcrowding in shelters, which raises great concern about spread of infectious diseases. WHO warns that infectious diseases are “soaring.” Over 100,000 cases of diarrhea have been reported, with rates amongst children 25 times higher than before the war. Over 400 people (over 700 in some areas) are being forced to share one toilet, children are barely spared a drop of water to drink let alone clean themselves, and women are being forced to substitute tent scraps as period hygiene products.
